Configuring Routing based on DPC (1)

1. Configuring Routing for DPC

DPC is the terminated point. In this topology, we will consider NA1 and NA5 the ends.

NA2 and NA4 will have two DPC, 1111 and 5555.

 

   1.1 Configuring Routeset for 1111 on NA2.

   Applications > MTP3 > NA2 > Routesets > Create > DPC 1111, Destination Type: MEMBER > Create

 

   Destination Type is for the range of Point Code. it's like Subnet Mask in IP. it has DEFAULT, NETWORK, CLUSTER, MEMBER. Member points the exact 1111 PC number.      1.1.1 Configuring Route for 1111 on NA2

   Applications > MTP3 > NA2 > Routesets > MRS 0:1111 > Route 'Create' > APC 1111, Cost 10 > Create > Activate

     MRS: Member RouteSet

     NA2 has only one Route 1111 for DPC 1111.

   1.2 Configuring Routeset for 5555 on NA2.

   Applications > MTP3 > NA2 > Routesets > Create > DPC 5555, Destination Type: MEMBER > Create

 

   NA2 has two Routes for DPC 5555. it's 3333 and 6666.

 

    1.2.1 Configuring Route 3333 for 5555 on NA2

    Applications > MTP3 > NA2 > Routesets > MRS 0:5555 > Route 'Create' > APC 3333, Cost 10 > Create

    1.2.2 Configuring Route 6666 for 5555 on NA2

    Applications > MTP3 > NA2 > Routesets > MRS 0:5555 > Route 'Create' > APC 6666, Cost 20 > Create > Activate

NA2 will send messages to 3333(cost10) first. if the route is down, NA2 will send messages to 6666(cost20).

If NA2 has same costs 10. NA2 will loadshare traffics for DPC 5555 based on SLS as default. When set to 'NODE_VALUE', the load sharing algorithm will be based upon the Loadshare Mode value in the network appearance(default=SLS). Below configuration has 'Loadshare Mode : NODE_VALUE'.

Finally, we finished NA2 routing. you can set NA4 the same way.
