DSC SWe installation on VMware ESXi 6.0_(1)

<Overview>

This post illustrates how to deploy Ribbon DSC(Diameter Signaling Controller) SWe on VMware ESXi.

 

<Pre-Requisites>

1. A server

   Processor: Intel Xeon processors,

   RAM: Minimum 24GB

   DISK: Minimum 500GB

   NICs: Minimum 4 NICs

   Network: Minimum 3 networks for HA, Mgmt, Pkt

2. VMware ESXi on a server and ESXi license up and ESXi client installation.

3. DSC SWe software file

 

<Installation Phase1>

1.

File > Deploy OVF Template...

2. Select a location for DSC OVA file > Next

 

3. Look for the DSC VM size > Next > license Accept >

 

4. Specify a name for DSC > Next > Disk Format > 'Thick Provision Eager Zeroed' > next

 

5. Network Mapping > Next

 

 

6. Ready to Complete > not check of power on after deployment > Finish

7. Wait for deploying DSC. (In my case, it took 20mins)

 

8. Repeat 1~7 for DSC VM#2

 

 

9. Start DSC VM1
