DSC SWe installation on VMware ESXi 6.0_(2)

 

<Installation Phase2>

We go to the initial setup for DSC SWe.

 

1. vm-init > VM number set 1

We are going to setup VM#1 for DSC first.

if you setup VM#2, you should type 2.

 

2. Mapping VM interface to ESXi network

  2.1 Check what mac address of VM instance is for a network. (after booting up VM, the mac is created automatically)

  In my case,

  NIC for MGT network has 00:0c:29:fb:7e:49

  NIC for HA network has 00:0c:29:fb:7e:53

  NIC for PKT0 network has 00:0c:29:fb:7e:5d

  NIC for PKT1 network has 00:0c:29:fb:7e:67

 

  2.2 Set mgmt interface.

  00:0c:29:fb:7e:49 is for MGMT. so I selected #3 and then I selected #1 for setting MGT.

  mgt0 is for VM1, mgt1 is for VM2. so I selected #0(mgt0).

  2.3 the interface(00:0c:29:fb:7e:49) set to mgt0

 

  2.4 Set HA interface

  00:0c:29:fb:7e:53 is for HA. so I selected #2 and then I selected #2 for setting HA.

 

  2.5 Set PKT interface

  00:0c:29:fb:7e:5d is for PKT network. so I selected #4 and then I selected #3 for setting PKT.

  I set #0 for PKT0

 

  2.6 Set PKT1 interface

  00:0c:29:fb:7e:67 is for PKT1 network. so I selected #1 and then I selected #3 for setting PKT.

  I set #1 for PKT1

 

  2.7 After all configuration for interface mapping, Exit to CLI by "q" and then do Reboot!

  2.8 Repeat 1~2.7 for VM2.
