Creating Network Appearance (Local PC)Ribbon Communications/Signaling Transfer Point 2020. 4. 24. 15:30
This Product: Ribbon Communications DSC SWe.
Version: 18.1.0
Hypervisor: Oracle VirtualBox
Network Appearance is basic platform having Local Point Code (LPC) and Linkset and Routeset and GTT.
it's like virtual one STP.
I'm going to show you how to configure NA.
1. Log in DSC via Web Gui.
2. Application > MTP3 > Create
3. Select a number for NA. if you have basic license, you can create NAs upto 8. the maximum number of NA is 32.
4. After creating NA, enter the created NA.
5. From here, we can choose LPC, ITU-T or ANSI, PC format, Network Indicator.
In this case, I will create below NA. LPC 111 is invalid number. so we should change a value to get permit PC 1111.
* NI_00 for International, NI_01 for Spare International, NI_10 for National (default), NI_11 for National Spare.
6. MTP3 > NA1 > Detailed Configuration > PC Numbering Validation > DISABLED > Continue > Continue
Now we can use any PC for LPC.
7. Go back to Basic configuration. You can configure the NA like below for our scenario.
To commit it, you should click 'continue'.
DSC checks one more what you requests. After 'Continue' again, your configuration is committed.
8. let's make it Activate.
9. Finally we created one STP node.
Congrat!
